Valparai is a serene and beautiful hill station in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu state in India. It is located 3,500 feet above sea level on the Anaimalai mountain range. Valparai is a plantation town as well as a hill station. It is also a bio-diversity hotspot and a tropical rainforest – all mixed into one.

The tea plantations around here are surrounded by evergreen forests. This region is also a rich elephant tract and forests is known to have leopards. The scenic drive to the Valparai town from Pollachi passes through the Indira Ghandi National Park. Monkey Falls is a nearby waterfalls and an excellent place for a getaway. The Monkey falls is an excellent roadside stop located 65 kilometers from Coimbatore and 27 kilometers from Pollachi town on the Coimbatore - Pollachi – Valparai route.
